Jeff and I originally installed basic hardware store shelf brackets for hanging items. But the need to regularly empty the store of all hardware created challenges with standard fastening systems.
The new concept proposed a slot fit system hanging from a minimal and permanently fastened upper rail.

The system hangs on a rail of two pieces sandwiched together.
The sandwiched rail is fastened to the wall.
The rail runs the perimeter of the store.
"Hooks" grab the rail and support hangers.
Shelf and bar brackets fit into hangers.
Brackets have notches that fit into and lock shelves into place.

Elements of the system are easy for store employees to maneuver without tools for configuring the space.
